here is an expose on my fannishness.... sitting at breakfast, eating beans on toast. (Yes I am American, but such an Anglophile that if at all possible I will eat as British as I can)

Listening to In My Time of Dying by Beth and April Stevens, and then by Josh White. (If you don't know who Josh White is, or have never heard him sing, please do yourself the favor of looking him up)

Then I put on "In the Light" and my husband and I have the conversation: This is John Paul Jones saying hey, no, I'm not just a super competent studio guy, I really am in Led Zeppelin, I'm just as freaky as Jimmy Page, listen to JUST HOW FREAKY I REALLY AM.

Then one of my favorite moments in all of Zeppelin comes on -- during the super freaky and totally psychedelic In the Light, and Jimmy and Jonesy are trying to outfreak each other, Robert suddenly goes "sh bop a do!" which to me is part and parcel of why Led Zeppelin to this day remain one of the most compelling rock groups of all time, the way they traversed and build connections across all the musical genres of their day.

So then I remembered this little story I wrote in my Supernatural, post 5.22 verse, with Dean and Lisa during the year that Sammy was gone. And I totally moved myself to tears. Yes, this story got just one comment, but it was exactly what I was trying to accomplish.
