The design uses many many half stitches ( which are a pain) especially around the eyes. The colour palette is also huge giving nice shading. I'll post the others from the series.

That might explain it! I love that you can't tell that there's so many half stitches because it just looks so well put together :)

I posted my others too. I hope I'm not infringing copyright but you can always give them a try yourself. They're not that difficult to complete and you can buy them from the John Clayton cross stitch kit collection online. "Sewandso.co.uk" is a very good site.

Sewandso is a great site. Even in Australia, I've only heard good things about them, and I've had good experiences with them. I'll check out your others!
