Jaime/Brienne
I've been re-reading bits of ASoS and AFfC lately and I thought I'd share my favorite Jaime/Brienne moments and ask your opinions on some stuff.
- From Jaime's reaction to Brienne in the tub at Harrenhal and his observation that she was hairier than Cersei, it's clear our Kingslayer is no fan of Brazilian bikini waxes. :P
- What do you make of the prophecy/dream Jaime has the night he sleeps on the weirdwood stump after leaving Harrenhal? The first two parts came true (Jaime freed Brienne, and later gave her a sword) but what does the last bit mean? I thought it meant Brienne will outlive Jaime, but that seems a bit too obvious now...
- Jaime hitting Brienne's former suitor for insulting her always makes me squee. As does Brienne getting offended in that inn when some people react with horror to the idea of being ruled by the Kingslayer.
- Brienne's memories of Renly reminded me of Sandor's obsession with Sansa. They're both ugly outsiders who become fixated on the first beautiful person to be nice to them. Of course Renly didn't really like or respect Brienne (judging by the things Loras quotes him as saying) which makes me dislike him.
- I really really want to see Cersei and Brienne meet. I can see Cersei being both disdainful of Brienne's looks and jealous that Brienne gets to fight like a man the way Cersei wished she could.
