Casting calls for ASoIaF

... so I may have been the last person in the Ice and Fire fandom to hear about the casting decisions that have been made so far for the HBO series, but if I wasn't, I'll review them here:

Sean Bean as Ned Stark
Mark Addy as Robert Baratheon
Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister
Kit Harrington as Jon Snow
Jack Gleeson as Joffrey Baratheon
Harry Lloyd as Viserys Targaryen

So how does everyone feel about this? So far, I feel good about all the casting choices, or at the very least neutral, and I am only neutral in the cases (such as Kit Harrington) where I know nothing about the actor or his work and style.

Now also seems like a good time to revive a casting call. So, who would you pick to play whom in "A Game of Thrones" and the following HBO series? This is (mostly) pure fantasy. You can pick whoever you like, although it would be better if the actor were at least living, or at the most recently deceased. However, if you're convinced that Sir Alec Guinness is the only man who could do Grand Maester Pycelle justice, then by all means, vote for him! In the case of the children, obviously many of the actors we would have liked to see in the roles are no longer children, so that's much less of something to think about.

Incidentally, this is a pretty good fantasy cast lineup for "A Game of Thrones" and everything that follows it. A few of the picks are a little off, in my opinion (I just can't imagine Julia Roberts as Melisandre of Asshai, for some reason XD), most of her choices are, I think, pretty spot on. While there may be better choices for the various roles, the ones she picked are certainly good ones.

So, have at it!
