Bad things; Good things

Oct 18, 2005 21:09

I will start with the bad, might as well cuz I am determined to end my day on a happy note.
Taken from the Pet Peeves thread at Mediaminer:

Quote Me:

Half way to the eye doctor to I open up a letter from my employer that I just got in the mail. Date October 14, 2005.

Due to your extended leave and disability your Health, RX, Vision, Life, and dental insurance will end on September 30, 2005. You may be able to continue some of your insurances by filling out the Cobera forms inclosed.

In my perfect world that damn letter would be dated sometime in early to mid September. A lot of good it does me now. Canceled eye doctor luckly before they did the exam and told me at check out I no longer have insurance, Payment in Full is required. (the vision insurance didn't end on the 30th it ended Oct 17th. Yes had my appt been yeasterday I'd still have had the insurance to pay for it.

Continuation of insurance while off work since Jan has been 25% of my monthly benifit. Cobera is 53% of my monthly benifit and does NOT include life or vision.

The Peeve here. Employees who can't do their job in a timely mannor. Notification 2 weeks after cancelation IS NOT doing your job correctly.

Good things:

More money to live on as long as no one gets sick.
Devon turned 17 today. I was informed that he is one year away from entrance into strip clubs...TMI We had a really nice and way to expensive dinner. We needed the break from being broke and well it is my babies last year as a minor. Ok this isn't making me feel better. We got him One Piece Grand... dang i forgot the name, but its a game cube game and I managed to get the last copy in the area. We waited till he was asleep and put the present and the card in his room so he'd find it in the morning...He found it at 3am.

I've started writing again. It's something I don't do often and it is another original short story. If it keeps haunting your dreams it wants to be written. One story every two years or so, wow I am such a writing fool. I like this one, its got me really thinking for a short story.

Not such a bad entry...could have taken one of those 300 question quizes I hate to scroll through.
