An intro post always makes me feel like a highschool transfer student. You know, the one they make stand at the front of the class while she waits for the teacher to point her to a seat, and hey, while she's up there, why not introduce her? On the normal first day of class, no one gets introduced--it's only the transfer kids. Anyway, before I trail any further off on a tangent, let me shuffle my feet a bit and say, "Hi, I'm Kalayna."

I've lurked on the blog for several years, and I'm thrilled to be joining as an active member.
I write two urban fantasy series, and between them I cover the Fangs, the Fur, and the Fey, as well as several unmentioned things that go bump in the night. On the Fey side, I have the Alex Craft novels, the first of which,
Grave Witch will be out this October. The books are about series title character, Alex Craft, who can speak to the dead--but that doesn't me she always likes what they have to say.

On the Fangs and the Fur sides, I have the Novels of Haven. The first two books in this series,
Once Bitten and
Twice Dead, are currently available, with the next in the series, Third Blood, coming out this winter. This series is about a shifter on the run from her clan and responsibilities who is turned into a vampire and dragged into the supernatural underbelly of a city called Haven.
I'm interested in Folklore, ancient mythologies, and unusual superstitions, so besides writing, I'll probably blog on topics that touch on myths and legends. I'm always open to questions and suggestions for topics, so feel free to start a dialogue in the comments. If you want to know more about me, you can always check out what is happening over at my site www.kalayna.com
Okay, I think I've rambled on long enough. Time for me to go find my seat.
Happy Thursday everyone!
