How did you plan the last novel you wrote (and successfully finished)? Outline? Synopsis? Summary? Divination Rod? Nuthin' at all?I’m talking here about writing a book under contract, not a book to-spec, because most of my books have a payment due on outline, so I have no choice but to hand something in if I want to get paid. This is so timely - I was emailing my CP this morning that I was a little lost on how to outline my latest book. The characters are solid, but the plot...is reluctant to clear itself up.

I...actually used "And things go all to hell here, but it ends up okay."

It's nice to see that's a valid starting point ;)
