The very first week of a book being out is the most vital. So if you’re planning on purchasing any author's book, don’t buy early. Purchase the book between the Tuesday of the release to the following Sunday. (It's a short week!)
Sales during that timeframe are what determine whether or not the book will make the USA Today! The stores are not supposed to put the books on the shelves or on the table until the release date, but sometimes it doesn’t work out that way.

I am talking about the actual street date where our wonderful readers buy the books off the shelves and not pre-orders from bookstores! I hope I got that right. :o)
