Per Melissa's request, here's the shameless plug for my upcoming (and most favorite) written work, Night Life.
Homicide detective Luna Wilder is learning the hard way that being a werewolf isn't easy. In Nocturne City, werewolves aren't well-known or well-liked, and now someone is killing of their females in a string of ritualistic murders. When the investigation falls into Luna's lap (as if seven open cases weren't enough!) she finds herself entangled with daemons, black magic and a too-hot-to-be-trusted pack leader. As Luna hunts the killer through the crumbling underbelly of the city, she is also racing against her own werewolf blood and fighting against the fact that she is a werewolf without a pack--and that the terrifyingly powerful serial killer she is tracking may have her in his sights.
When I describe this novel I use the term "werewolf noir"...it's a noirish Ellroy-style mystery tangled in a web of werewolf lore and fantastical creatures that slink around in the shadows. Er, and I really hope that summary made sense, 'cause I'm bad at them.
