It's Been a While
It's been a very long time since I've written in this journal. At least a year. Let's see. May 2009. Over a year ago. And the last entry is very very depressing.
Anyway, a lot has been on my mind lately, and I wanted to get it all down on "paper" to make it easier to think about. I also find it fascinating to be able to go back and see what I thought about my life years later. Most interesting to me are the things people say to me. So I will try to especially write those down.
Right now two things are bobbling around inside my head.
Janelle said: "Take for example, if we were to go camping. When it came time to pitch the tent, you would want to stop and read the instructions, and I would want to just figure it out without the instructions."
But the one thing that Janelle said that I found most interesting was after she said she didn't love me anymore. For some reason she couldn't bring herself to break up with me, so I had to sort of initiate it myself. It was really important to her that we still be friends. She told me that if we couldn't remain friends afterward, she didn't want to break up. Also: "I want you to be able to introduce your new girl friend to me. I don't want it to be too awkward that you can't even do that."
