Though they are quite a nuisance, these spirits do not seem to be the least bit malevolent. Has anyone been attacked or injured? Are there any missing items that have not been reported?

Right, then. The attacks reported have been little more than dangerous pranks... but they are attacks nonetheless.
Act with caution if you know one is in the immediate area. We do not know how dangerous these spirits could get, so the last thing we want is to provoke them. That goes double for any non-officers, and a hundred times over for any children.
