Gambling? People are betting on this race? As if all this drinking and lollygagging was not enough, you people cannot even have a plane race without indulging in gambling!

Lollygagging. It means wasting time.

Gambling is an illegitmate way to earn money. It tempts good men with greed and sloth. And it is frequently used by dishonest men to cheat fools out of their money. What is not wrong with it?

Well...um. Sometimes you win money, that's good. But not often, I guess, if people are using it to cheat people - but that's because the cheating people are bad, not because gambling's bad, right?

Winning money is not good, unless you won it by merit. If you truly believe in the victor, the knowledge of their victory should be enough.

And yes, it is bad. The people who use it to exploit other people are particularly bad, but it ruins lives, leads good men to make terrible decisions...

Whether you grow rich or send yourself into poverty, it is a road that leads straight into hell.

No, sloth is a sin. Laziness, avoiding work and duty! It is terrible!
