I pray our pilots are able to completely dominate the competition in this race. Some of the things that those vile infidels have said is completely unforgivable. They deserve a good taste of humility.

... I would appreciate it if you would not use such nicknames for me, yes. I have a lot of pride in my demihuman heritage, and I do not like it mockingly compared to unicorns and kirins and other such creatures. Particularly when it makes me sound like some sort of oddity or pet, rather than a man.

The difficulty is that you are by far not the only one who acts like it is some sort of curious deformity. Someone mentioned that the woman dispenses advice... but they failed to mention that her advice is completely condescending and useless.

A curious deformity? No no! I find it rather intriguing. As you perhaps already guessed, I am a fan of mythology and I find it rather interesting that there is a race of demihumans who bear a single ivory horn just like the mythical kirins.

However, in short I do realize perhaps my intrigue comes across as a form of mocking. Especially considering the heated clash between humans and non-humans within society and government.

For that, I do apologize.

I suppose, if not for how people normally treat me, I would have been quite honored to know you held such admiration for my horn. I should apologize as well for being so offended.

... there are... actually not very many of us with horns. The only ones I have ever seen with a horn are my mother, my sister and myself. And my mother, unfortunately, has already left us.

You seem quite tense since you first joined the crew. I suppose this is because of your failed exploits upon that dragonship of yours. However, you should not be so tense. The Victoria II has a very competent crew with the wise Admiral von Karma guiding it's sails.

I am certain you shall find your time here upon the Victoria II to be rather pleasant at best...

I admit, there are those who have always considered me to be rather intense. But my final failure on the Destiny has placed me under more pressure than ever, true... I will make an effort to relax and enjoy myself more.

Though if one of our pilots is able to secure total victory over those scoundrels, it will certainly help.

Yes. I presume the rest of my mother's family did as well, but I have never had the opportunity to meet anyone from her side. ... so, ironically, I suppose comparing my sister and I to rare creatures of legend may be more accurate than I care to admit.
