I'm sorry. I'm so sorry that my fake-life is so much more fun than my real one, so I write about it here all the time. But like, I'm working alongside some REALLY talented people to write some really AMAZING things. And I hope, one day, eventually, I could work with two of the girls to actually get something original written. We mesh so well and our characters are FANTASTIC at picking up little clues. Like, if Relena has a normal response to an action, but something's wrong, her response will differ slightly. And the other two characters pick up on it
Relena, my female character, finally rounded on her bodyguard, the guy she's unrequitedly in love with. She LOST it with him. Things got a little better. He finally got angry with her for being stupid, which is what she needed. But she's still constantly maneuvering around him. She plays him really well, and that irks the both of us. Like, today. Relena is an escape artist. She doesn't like having to have babysitters, and because of it, she sneaks off without warning. That's why she hired Heero as a bodyguard-- she needed somebody sneakier and smarter to keep her from doing this shit. To outmaneuver her.
well, today, he was like, "You need to stop sneaking off. It's pissing me off" and the fact that she NEVER responded to this went over his head. Instead, Relena gave excuses and changed the subject. And it was something he needed to cling on to.
Other characters are better at it with Relena. Duo, Amberly's character, for example. Relena has long, blond hair, and today, she made a flippant comment about cutting it off. Duo freaked out, and threatened to cut HIS hair if Relena cut hers. That threat right there? THAT is the most effective way to ensure Relena doesn't do stupid shit. Don't make her promise you things, because she will not make promises she can't keep. Instead, she maneuvers out of them on the sly. (((Wufei, Tina's character, tried to make Relena promise to not do anything more self-inflicting that could kill her. Relena didn't reply to it, because she can't promise that she won't. Wufei didn't notice. Wufei's writer did)))
the forth writer, who does Heero, the bodyguard, is getting on all of our nerves. She's so hell-bent on Heero and Amberly's character, Duo, ending up together, but she's not actually DOING anything to achieve that. She's treating this like it's story planning, with a set goal in mind, and not a roleplay, which is much more "as you go along." Because of it, Duo is in love with Wufei right now and there's no reason to leave him.
Relena is kind of stuck as "forever alone" girl in this instance, but she's been bonding with Wufei and Duo as friends. Like, Relena is the type of person who needs physical comfort. Physical comfort gives her self-worth-- "I am loved. I am being held. They love me. They're not going to leave me if they hold me." Duo is also a cuddler. Duo and Relena cuddle a lot. And Wufei gets dragged into it because he's in love with Duo, and Relena has worked her way into "best friend" category by helping him through a rough patch in his relationship. Relena was feeling really shitty and drained about her fight with Heero, so she spent cuddle!times with Duo. And Wufei came along to cuddle too. And like, sitting in Duo's lap, Wufei's arms around them both? Relena relaxed for the first time in years. She fell asleep like that. And she didn't have nightmares. Not once.
Back to this one author who isn't playing nicely, though--- she assumes Heero will end up with Duo. Duo is pretty happy with Wufei. This leaves Relena forever alone. But like, the way we're playing now, Duo/Wufei/Relena is a possibility. This forth author would be SOOOOOO angry with us, but Duo/Wufei is already a reality, and Relena is spending a LOT of time with them. It's gotten to a point where it'd be really, really easy for them to cross that line there. And there's already a really strong emotional connection, so I think it'd be easy to cross that emotional line, too. I mean, that's what happened with Duo/Wufei-- it started as comfort, but turned into love.
A few more stupid moves on Heero's part and that's going to be it. There's a lot of fun pressure on me right now, because -I- hold a lot of power with Relena. If Relena lets any tiny detail about some of the shit Heero's done slip to Duo or Wufei, their friendships with Heero is history. Permanently. And Relena is balancing on a delicate precipice right now-- she's slowly starting to see how unintentionally abusive Heero is. She's realizing that, as much as she loves him, things keep happening that hurt her.
And like, the forth author is telling us, "I want Relena to go to a charity benefit at the hospital. I want her to take Heero with her. I want Heero to contract pneumonia and get really, really sick."
... If that happens, Relena will blame herself. Relena will try to run. As in, flee from her life and try to start a new one somewhere else, because people are better off without her. And she's putting herself into a position where she COULD do that, because she's relinquishing her political power as we speak.
part of me WANTS that shit with the forth author to go down. Because it will possibly cement Duo/Wufei/Relena. Because Relena will try to run. And Duo and Wufei will be babysitters to guarantee that doesn't happen. Duo will get warned, "Do not let her out of your sight." And so Duo and Wufei will dog her every step.
This situation would give me a chance to write Relena lashing out. Purposely crossing boundaries in an attempt to push these guys away long enough to scamper. She already keeps spare clothes in her stables, so all she'd need is fifteen minutes, and she'd be gone. And eventually, the boundary could EASILY get crossed, and that would be SO much fun. SO much fun.
I already told Amberly, look. If Heero pulls his shit together and this doesn't happen, can we write an alternate universe where it does?

Little Brother has a friend coming into town next week to spend a week with us. I am so, so, SO excited because I absolutely adore this friend. I've already said, if this friend weren't five years younger than me and gay, I'd be all over him. I only have Tuesday and Saturday off next week, and Saturday is Kamberlina time, so Tuesday, we'll have Kamderlexi time. It will be awesome. We will party rock together. The end.
