Hmm...
One of the ladies at Hallmark contacted me, asked me how my life is, and told me my old manager is looking to hire some "fresh meat." It wasn't my manager HERSELF who offered the job, but just a senior sales rep letting me know there are positions available.
I've been considering getting some part-time work to bring money in. I'm still not sure what I want out of life, but a talk with Amberly the other day pretty much solidified that I don't feel like full-time office work will do it for me-- I'll just be tired and miserable all the time and won't -do- anything. If it looks like my old manager would be keen to hire me on, I might consider going back to Hallmark, if only to build up my bank account
and figure out whatever the fuck I want from life. It'd be a step in SOME direction. I wouldn't be able to live on my own with what I'd earn, but I could pay off some of my loans and try to make some decisions in the right direction
Right now, the only things working against me is that 1) the owner closed down a few local stores recently and my old manager might consider hiring on some of those other employees, and 2) Last Christmas, she mentioned that she'd considered keeping me on, but didn't want to hold me back. I think my admission that, "I'm not ready for a full-time office job, ESPECIALLY not with what's available" and that I've been considering more part-time work would work in my favor.
