Fangirl Magazine
Iphone App Review
WunderRadio
By Jessica Dwyer
Welcome to the newest part Fangirl Magazine, the IPhone App review!
I am officially my IPhones whore. I would gladly have its babies. I feel like its one of the coolest inventions ever. Hence why I'm going to start making converts by writing articles about the neatest part of owning an IPhone, the apps.
Apple was smart as hell when they opened the app store to allow outside programers and everyday people to post and sell their own IPhone apps. There are tons of goodies out there you can put on your phone to make it even more user friendly. And I'm going to tell you about my personal favorites here.
First off I'm going to talk about one of the greatest apps I've found and its a steal at 6.99. That app is WunderRadio.
WunderRadio turns your IPhone into a world wide radio receiver. You can get feeds from every damn nation in the world, or at least it feels like it. If the station has an online presence this app funnels it into your IPhone.
This is handy since a lot of stations have online feeds but you are limited to only listening on your computer (some of them are limited to only that country). But with WunderRadio you can plug your IPhone into your cars port and listen over the speakers or via your headphones.
The app makes access and finding locations easy. You can do a search by typing in a location or call letters, look using the country and funnel down to the city, and then save your picks to your favorites.
Me, I'm a UK radio junkie. I LOVE BBC RADIO! With this app I can listen to BBC 2 all the time! I also can get my WPLJ New York fix, plus stations from my home town back in Missouri. Its awesome.
The program is available for other handhelds too, but I use the IPhone app. You can read more about WunderRadio at the main site

Like I said, for a one time fee of 6.99 this is a must have for the IPhone. Pandora is a great app, don't get me wrong. Plus its free...but WunderRadio is just an amazing toy to have. Getting to listen to other countries stations is fun as hell. Amazing. I never thought I'd be able to listen to stuff like this without subscribing to XM or Sirrius. And lets face it, those guys aren't going to be around for much longer.
Viva WunderRadio!!
