Where I Am and Where I'm Going

My poor LJ. *pets it* It's gotten all dusty. I've been either offline hanging out with friends doing writing things (whee, writing things!) and posting regularly to writerfangirl, my writing journal. I have regular NaNo updates. I'm very serious about this NaNo, more serious about it than last year. And I'm chugging along. I'm over the quota I need today ( Read more... )

The people who do 50k in a week... that depresses me, lol. But I'm ahead of schedule, and there are plenty of people -more people- who are right at or around where they should be to accomplish NaNo. So, you've got a lot of people with you there.

Yeah, I'm gonna blame it on this man. Geonn. But damn. He always sets the bar so high. And look at his friends. I'm seven out of eleven and I'm the only one who is close around to where we should be. Everybody else is like, waaay out there.

It doesn't depress me, but it definitely challenges me. I wonder if I did just write non-stop if I could pull it off too. The words have started to flow now. :D

*nod* That is true. :D

I think some of the people who have around 80,000 already are probably working with old novels. It's hard to imagine that you can start fresh with no idea what you're going to write and come that far in just one week. I'm going to go check out your other journal too. I'd love to write for a living. I wish I could do it. I can see myself, living in a loft and typing out on a lap top or something.

although I'm beginning to think, I need a lap top that doesn't connect to the internet...at least not during writing hours.

What you're doing is awesome! I wish I could get back into my writing like that. To write 150,000 words in one month is going to be quite the accomplishment.

= D
