A Hero and His Hair - A Modern Fairy Tale

May 26, 2007 13:42

So it seems like my character is on crack...and I'm not sure if it's the good kind. In any case, in trying to pimp Peter's hair for a muse awards thingy, she actually pulled together something alltogether too brilliant as a retelling of the first season of Heroes. (STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE FINALE!!!)

Peter's a good friend of mine, I count him among my best friends even (he's so probably going to kill me for this, but it's worth it!). What I love about him, more than anything, the guy has the hair. Nobody has hair like Peter Petrelli. This hair, it's made of awesome. It defies the law of gravity (which is natural to the Petrelli men). But Peter's hair is especially expressive. Not only does it mimic his expressions, but sometimes it expresses feelings of its own.

Meet Peter Petrelli (hair is in original normal form and is quite content.)

Peter used to be a nurse (note the separate tendrill of hair. It's important. And both Peter and his hair show confidence here.)

But as a nurse, his hair often looked like this (not yet realising its inherent coolness.)

He's one of those guys who doesn't have to do anything to his hair and it looks fine (hair is saying 'woohoo' here because Peter had a good night.)

You might think with hair as expressive as Peter's that he couldn't get it tamed, well he can! And it looks so nice too! (neither hair nor Peter are happy, though.)

(Just wanted to remind you of that tendrill. Something big is coming. Wait for it.)

So, one day, something big happened to change Peter's life forever (and the hair, just note the hair!)

That something big led Peter to this man, Mister Sylar (note the lack of hair. Oh Sylar and your jealousy of Peter's fine hair!)

Mister Sylar had a plan that scared Peter's hair limp.

Mister Sylar planned to take Peter's hair, bit by bit! O.O (not to mention Peter's brain, too. But THE HAIR!!!)

Sylar's plot enraged Peter (and the hair)

Peter became so angry that he started to go nuclear (and the hair went a bit crazy.)

But though the time appeared dire, Peter and his hair remained true and were saved by help from above.

Mister Sylar wasn't so lucky, unfortunately. On his third and final attempt of trying to steal Peter's hair, he was slain (in death, Sylar's hair attempted a very weak impression of the gravity-defying hair of Peter Petrelli...but it simply wasn't enough, not to mention it came too late.)

So when it's time to vote for who has the best hair, please put in your vote for mybrothershadow, the Hero whose hair pwns all!

crack, peter petrelli, heroes, hair!, kitty pryde
