This Monday's Fangirl Tour!

It's my turn! This is such a fun idea, and I've been loving all the recs. My own come mainly from two fandoms, Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean. I've tried not to repeat any stories that others have recommended.

OMG - Secret Garden??? I've never even thought to look for a SG fandom, and it was one of my favorite books as a kid. So cool!

Your other recs look interesting, too. I've dabbled here and there in the POTC fandom, but it's not always easy to sort through the huge number of fics out there (I know HP is bigger, but at least I know what I like in that realm). ; )

I think this Secret Garden does the book justice. And it was probably my 2nd favorite book, growing up, second only to Anne of Green Gables. :)

Yes, it IS hard to find the good stuff. I hope you enjoy those stories!

Oh, that's awesome to hear! I'm a major L.M. Montgomery fan, too - in college my roommate and I drove to PEI (over 1000 miles for us) as an Anne-pilgrimage. Coolest trip I've ever taken, but anyway....

I was thinking that most SG fans might be younger, having come into it through the movie versions. And while that's fine, it might make me a little wary, so it's lovely to know that a F.H.B. book fan enjoys this story! : )

That story will always be...so...very important to me because of the time in which it was written. I read it and I re-remember - friendship and energy. Yep.

And I do think HoF will always and forever be the apex of HPVerse, to me.

EDIT - uh, yeah, got some more coffee and realized that this is actually a comm... Very cool!

You're so welcome! It is absolutely a wonderful tale. And I, too, cannot disconnect it from my memories of that time period, either. Actually, doing this entry reminded me of what I loved about fandom/fanfic to begin with.

Oh I loved the RW/SS story. What a pairing she made work! Is all her stuff at FFN? I shall look for more.

I believe she archives everything there. She's also on LJ, and she posts stories there when she has a new one. She makes A LOT of pairing work.

I just noticed the link isn't working, too. I can't access her site on Insane Journal at all right now, so I'm thinking it's a server problem. It was fine this morning, hopefully it will be back up soon.

Ouuuu I quick hopped up and read it before IJ could hide it again. That was very hot! I would have never expected such a pairing would be so alluring. I think the best part was when Arthur asked Ron to leave the room. Very naughty! I want more!
