Fangirl Tuesday
Hello fellow fans! I bring to you six fanfic recs and seven fanart recs from ten fandoms--crossovers included.

Why I fangirl this: This beautiful fic was written for me, me, me! *selfish* I love the author's writing style, her ability to tell a lot in a few words, and the emotion that the story conveys. I also like it that the quotations she sprinkles over the fic actually enhance it and help the readers understand how the characters feel.

Why I fangirl this: Unfortunately, there are no female Gold Saints in Saint Seiya canon. But if there's one female character who would make a wonderful Gold Saint, that would be Ophiuchus Shaina. Why I fangirl this: Rei Hino/Sailor Mars has always been my favourite Sailor Senshi. She looks so beautiful in this drawing! I like it that she is surrounded by fire, her element. The artist did a great job with the character's hair and also chose the right pose for her.

Summary: A waiter finds out why Bean acts the way he does.
Why I fangirl this: Mr Bean fics are extremely rare, which is understandable: it's very hard to write pure prose about such a visually-oriented series. However, Darth Gojira did a great job, finding a clever way to work around this difficulty while remaining true to the series' spirit. I normally dislike fanfics featuring OCs as their main characters, but this hilarious story has to be an exception to my own rule.

Why I fangirl this: I've never watched Keeping Up Appearances. My (very limited) knowledge on this fandom comes from visits to Wikipedia entries and a few comments made by this fic's author. So I can guarantee that you don't need to be a fan of the series to enjoy this story. I love every single scene in it! The tech-related jokes made me laugh out loud!

Why I fangirl this: I rec this story everywhere I can, because this is one of my favourite gen fics ever. It's female-centric, features incredibly likeable characters (most of which are minor HP characters brilliantly fleshed out by the author), and includes memorable action/adventure scenes. The most emotional passages are superb as well. In sum, reading this amazing fic was a completely satisfying experience for me.

Why I fangirl this: Another fic written for me, me, me, meeee! It features my favourite HP character (Neville), my favourite HP villain (Bellatrix), my favourite scenarios in HP fanfiction (EWE, what-if), and it's been written by my favourite HP ficwriter (Ayla). How could I not adore this fic? I love it that Neville is so vulnerable and defenceless, and that Bellatrix manages to be missed by her own victim in spite of her cruelty. OMG, I've got too many reasons to squee over this fic! *__*

Why I fangirl this: I love and crave het femdom too much to ignore this story. I wasn't joking when I told the author that I need more fics like this in my life. With her powerful, memorable story, she made me like Draco--quite a feat, for technically he belongs in my "least favourite characters" list--and care for Astoria--whose existence I'd hardly remember before reading this fic.
