Status: Complete, Oldie but Goodie
Summary: 10 years after Hogwarts, Professor Hermione Granger-Potter finds herself at a conference in New York, where she runs into her former potions professor. Is she prepared for the consequences of their encounter?
Why I fangirl this: I like good stories, usually romances with happy endings. This is an older SS/HG, but it’s a good one which navigates the end of one relationship for the beginning of another. I also like my stories to deal with adults and in this one the characters are adults. There is a continuation which is just as good:

Summary: Many years later Harriet would reflect that those last days at Shrewsbury ran together in a terrible block and that all frame of time before Peter was ordered and all frame of time after his arrival was muddled.
Why I fangirl this: I’ve always wondered how Harriet dealt with Wilfred and why he was such a schmoop.

Why I fangirl this: Lord Peter Wimsey -- my second literary love. It was very selfish of Dorothy L Sayers to shuffle off this mortal coil. I mean really, couldn't she have stayed around a few more years?

Summary: Above him, a smiling face is hand-drawn in blood on the refrigerator. The killer used so much blood that the eyes look as though they are crying, red tears dripping down its face. "Ah," Tony says, muttering under his breath, "you always did have a fondness for signing your work."
Why I fangirl this: I love Patrick Jane. The Mentalist is fun TV mind candy. I also adore Tony Hill, love the books and the TV shows. This is a good story that combines the two.
