Something HP and something not
And we are off with the teasers. I have two recs for you.
One rec is Harry Potter based, and even Severus Snape based, but a wee bit different.
I would urge the reader to hie thee over to WitchFics and read everything in the Viviane Chance Chronology. Viv is the best of what one would like to see in an adult Mary Sue, and I do not use that term pejoratively. Viv is French, wise-cracking, and carries a very long and heavy sword. In fact, I am a staunch Russellian, and for Russellians, the story of Holmes continues well beyond His Last Bow in the world of The Beekeeper's Apprentice. The next story takes place at the end of BEEK, when Russell must to come to terms with what it really means to be the apprentice of Sherlock Holmes. To this end, I give you Reclaiming the Queen, by, "I ached for Holmes, for the sureness of his hands and his quiet voice". The story is from Holmes' perspective, which we receive so little in either series of stories.
