Sorta looking back on 2009
2009 seemingly went by really fast, so without thinking too long or hard about it, here's a list of some things that happened in non-chronological order:
- watched a ton of movies on international flights
- Penny and Nathan got married on the USS Hornet
- played (I think) three shows with the Runaway Five
- dorked out and started listening to 吉田拓郎 (Yoshida Takurō), キャンディーズ (Candies) and 河合奈保子 (Kawai Naoko)
- ate pork stomach and chicken hearts
- almost fell into the moat surrounding Nagoya Castle
- started working part time in the administration department
- hung out with Nimo Pasion
- continued to screw up my left hand and wrist (the one I flip books with)
- found one of the former spies, as well as some other notables from the past
- got multiple pep talks
- had multiple dreams about non-fatal disasters (plane crashes and earthquakes)
- sorta went back to school, mostly for social interactions outside my usual haunts
- hung out in Saitama for a day
- saw a couple good shows (most noteworthy - Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and Dan P & the Bricks, though not on the same bill)
- turned to the Slow Gherkin musical catalog for solace
