Well, I was working on a Christmas fic, but my muse lost the holiday spirit halfway through. So, instead, I give you my first AU fic which has been inspired by way too much Pride and Prejudice

Oh my!!! Too ironic and too inviting is what this is. Having been inundated with Jane Austen this semester, I've been dying for such a endeavor as this. There was another Regency era fic that was being written on Portkey which I've started reading as well. But by you, now this is a treat. I can't wait to see where it goes. :p
Oh, you're so lucky! I have yet to have the good fortune of reading a single Jane Austen work in any of my courses, and I doubt I ever will, unless they offer some kind of senior seminar on her (which would be SO awesome).
I'm glad you like - I've been toying with this one in my head for quite some time, and when I recently started reading a P&P sequel, my brain went right back into it. ^^
My entire English class dealt with her novels this semester. Though I registered for it under Women's Studies, it turned out that it was also an upper-level English class that focuses solely on her. It was great treat, as I hadn't read her yet in school, and once in school I don't have much time to myself to read. So I thought this would a be a great way to tackle everything at once. :)
Awesome! I can't wait to find out the extent of Hermione's wifely duties. ;) Don't keep us waiting too long if you can! :D
Ohh, that's awesome. I go to a great school, really, but it's so small that the English classes are all very generic - two American Lits, two European Lits, and two British lits - until you get into the senior sems, which can be cool, but are somewhat rare. I'm only a freshman, but I'm dying to get into the Dickinson/Whitman seminar they're having next semester just in case they never offer it again.
Mmm, wifely duties, indeed. We'll see some of that in chapter 2. ;-D
Ah, I see. Sometimes I feel like Hunter's great with those kinds of things, and other times not so much. Their available major programs aren't so diversified which is a bit disappointing.
Here you have to be proficient about fulfilling your General Education requirements as they're called, then move on to the ones for your major.
I'm sure you'll get the chance. Sounds very interesting. :)
Baker's a general pain all around. They're -very- into the 'liberal arts education' so they have more gen-ed's than your average school. They're flexible, at least, about when you take them, save for certain courses like LA 101 freshman year. >.< But it's really just size that's the problem. When you've only got 1000 undergrad students, there's not a lot of course variety.
Oh, that stinks. But it's good that you have some leeway.
Yea, I can see where that would be a problem. That was the issue when I went to high school. I went to a very small, private school, so they basically just offered your standard classes, and not much else.
Now I'm in a huge public college, so yea, more choices.
