"I don't need tutoring Longbottom. You're wasting your time."
"But Professor Sprout said..."
"Professor Sprout is a dimwit."
Neville shook his head. He knew there was nothing he could say to Millicent. She was as unreasonable as she always had been. She had made up her mind already. He sighed and continued working on his essay for Herbology as Millicent looked over his shoulder. She couldn't stop herself from staring at the hairs on his neck. He had let his hair grow out a little and it truly complimented him. He shifted in his seat. This startled Millicent, especially when she realized Pansy was walking in her direction. She could tell by the strides she heard. Pansy had a very particular way of walking. She had shoes that clicked in a way that no other shoes could mimic. She pulled Millicent aside.
"Are you done with tutoring?"
"I don't need tutoring."
"Good. We've already discussed why you are to stay away from Longbottom."
"We have. I still don't understand it. It's not like he's going to reciprocate my feelings."
"That's the point Millie."
"Huh?"
"I don't want you to have to endure the torture of being around him."
"Listen to Pans," Tracey threw in. The blonde Slytherin joined her two friends suddenly. She had been in one of the nearby aisles scanning the bookshelf. Millicent sighed as she was led out of the library and away from Neville.
