My sworn brothers never explain why they nickname me “Dragon King”. Maybe they do so to mock my fiery temper, since dragons cause storms or floods whenever they are angry. (Well, myths state so.) Maybe they do so to please me, since dragons combine the best features of various animals. Many people, including my parents, believe that the Year of the Dragon is more auspicious than any other year. I think that such a belief is silly. It snowed so heavily last year that people froze to death in almost every province, and last year was the Year of the Dragon. Auspicious indeed! I hope that people will be less superstitious and more rational.
