Nicely done. :) I adore Sid, there's not enough love for him in fandom. It's great to see someone writing a story that focuses on him.

I know! I was disappointed at how little love there was for him, hence the reason for him being the focus for my claim here, so there should be plenty more love for him about =)

Robert Joy is my reason for watching CSI:NY! I've crushed on him ever since Desperately Seeking Susan way back in the 80s. He really is amazing.

Hahaha I know that feeling only too well... I dread to think what that says about my age though!

There are just so many predictable characters on tv these days that Sid is a real breath of fresh air. Even on this show, so many of the characters, to me, are just boring. The earnest female cop, the devil-may-care cop with a heart of gold, the intense cop, the cop with the troubled past who's struggling to overcome it. They'll all been done a billion times before.

But Sid? He's a true original. There's no one little box you can stick him into & have it a snug fit. Yes, he can fit into the "eccentric" mold, but there are so many other facets to him. He's just such a fascinating guy that he really sticks out on the show.

And besides that, even at his age, RJ is seriously HOT! Hey, who doesn't appreciate a fine wine that's aged to perfection? (Ha, that probably says a lot about MY age, too!)

He is original, which is going to make writing him so interesting. Trying to encapsulate the eccentricity, the sense of playfulness and the compassion, plus all the other little bits that make up Sid is going to be interesting.

And definitely. I tend to appreciate the fine wine aged to perfection, as you put it so well!

That's the same reason I love writing the Tenth Doctor -- he's so much more complex than any previous incarnations of the character were. There are so many different facets to him that were never fully explored in the show that are so much fun to put out there front & center via fanfic.

Ah, there's definitely something to be said for mature men. Age, wisdom & experience are so much sexier & more interesting than just a pretty face.

Oh totally. I love the Tenth Doctor so much, because he's so complex. I tend to get drawn to the complicated characters, I must admit.

There is something to be said for a pretty face, but yes, I agree. Friends?

I'll admit to initially watching him because I was a Tennant fan before he played Ten, but the way he made the character so complex & dramatic, and raised the acting bar on that show to impossible heights, was what drew me in & fired up my Ten muse.

Definitely! Adding you now. :)
