Giles tried to fight the vampire's hypnotic gaze, but he was helpless to resist. He was inside of her, and she was in him.
Jenny.
Dear, sweet Jenny, Giles thought to himself. He could smell her perfume, the light summery scent she liked to wear. The soft caress on his cheek was no longer icy cold, it was warm and soft like hers. Giles opened his eyes and smiled.
There she was, the lie.
“Jenny....” he said gratefully. He would tell her everything she wanted to know.
