::sniffle:: Ouch. This conversation had to happen sooner or later, and...yeah. This is all too plausible. I don't know which one of them I feel worse for, right at the moment. ::pets them:: I can always hear Bob and Harry so clearly in your fics.

Thank you so very much! This was one of those fics that started with a mental image of Harry holding the photograph when suddenly the muses just started talking to each other. I just took the dictation (and hoped to keep up).

I don't think either one of them truly understands how much the other cares.

*cuddles them both*

"But had the confrontation come sooner, the outcome would have been much different."

Maybe I'm reading more into this than I should, but I got the impression from that line that Bob wasn't merely worried about Harry dying, but about young Harry being so filled with rage and hatred that he was willing to do anything to destroy Justin Morningway...even if it was more vile than anything Morningway himself had ever done. I can see Bob wondering if Morningway had set up that precise situation in order to bring Harry over to his side...and fearing it might be the case.

Bob would never want Harry to destroy his uncle by destroying the most human part of himself. And he would do anything he had to in order to protect the young man who's his son in all but blood. Even if it meant lying to Harry, and risking Harry hating him for it.

In other words, this is an brilliant story.
