I thought this was a lovely "slice of life" piece, especially Marlene and the stuffed butterfly. It was very aww-inducing. :)

I also liked Tifa's personal evolution and how you showed it in so few words.

The paths she walked now could still be dirty and dangerous, but she quite often saw the sunlight. She might still be running a bar, but this was a different Seventh Heaven and she had plenty of cups that couldn't be broken by children's small hands.

My favourite lines in the whole story. A lovely mix of pragmatism and optimism. :)

I used to have a stuffed butterfly!
it was black and blue and had plastic eyes and a smile and it was a hand puppet also! my sister had an orange and yellow one...
I loved the butterfly...both of them!
The way you described Marlene compared to Barret was wonderful too...I can imagine her so tiny!
