Nico Minoru took a deep breath, threw her head back, and let out a howl of pure frustration that startled the nearby birds (including one that was impossibly green) into flight. After what seemed like a very long time indeed, the scream trailed off into a low growl.
“I’m going to kill Alex for this. I’ll find a way to bring him back from the dead, and I’ll kill him all over again.”
“I sense that you are very troubled,” Raven noted, somehow managing to keep a straight face as she did so.
“You are so not funny.”
“There are many people who would agree with you. Perhaps we should focus on returning you to your native reality before you get too caught up in your plans for necromancy?” the young woman suggested.
