Requesting a Tag
Do NOT request a tag until after your claim has been accepted. Do not DROP your claim here. If you have not made a claim and need to, or need to drop a claim, you can do that here
This is not the place to post links to your prompt tables, or tell us you have moved them. That information should be posted here
When you make a tag request, be sure to include the fandom AND the character(s) you have claimed. These should be in the format of fandom: character or, if you have a pairing/multiple characters, fandom: character/character. Include the first and last name of your character(s), where applicable, and do NOT include nicknames unless that's the only name the character's known by. When in doubt, refer to your entry on the Big Damn Table (If you have claimed a pairing, or multiple characters, your table entry will also tell you the order your characters should be in in your request).
Correct:
BTVS: Alexander Harris/Daniel Osbourne
Incorrect:
BTVS: Xander/Oz
BTVS: Alexander/Daniel
BTVS: Alexander 'Xander' Harris and Daniel 'Oz' Osbourne
MAKE SURE you include a link to a fic in the community that belongs to your claim when you request your tag. Some people have been having trouble with their tags not showing up; the only way we can prevent this is for a mod to tag an entry for you, so that the tag will then appear on the list and you can use it. REMEMBER IT MUST BE POSTED TO FANFIC100! NOT YOUR PERSONAL JOURNAL! I can not add tags to something that is posted to your journal, only the communities!
Your request should include your FANDOM, your CHARACTER/PAIRING, and A LINK TO A FIC FOR YOUR CLAIM. From now on, if you don't include a link to one of your stories, as posted in fanfic100, I WILL tell you off for it and I WILL delete your comment. It is not that hard.
If your request does NOT include these three items, it will be deleted. PLEASE note that due to length, your tag may be shortened. Usually this is done to last name only, or abbreviation if applicable, such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer: BtVS.

How to Tag an Entry:
1. Post your Fic. *DO NOT use the "tags" field*
2. Click "View your entry"
3. Click the Tag button at the top of the post:
4. Find your claim's tag in the selection box (scroll down to find it under your post). Select it, then click "Save Changes"
5. All should be shiny. You should see the tag on your entry and if it was your first use of the tag, it should now show up on the Big Damn Tag List
*NOTE: Sometimes claims are abbreviated or entered differently then you would expect which is why you might not find it in the selection box. For example, looking for Stargate, you'll not find it because Stargate SG-1 is filed under "sg-1: " and Stargate Atlantis is filed under "sga: ". Sometimes Harry Potter is “hp” in the box, so remember to look before you comment that your tag isn’t there.

Don't try to tag your post when you create it. Unless it's typed perfectly to match the tag as we created it, it won't work.
Don't try to EDIT your tag or TYPE it in, you should ALWAYS be using the selection box shown in the screenshot above. Only the mods have the capability to create/change tags.
Use ONLY the tag that is for your claim. For example, if I write a Spike fic (btvs and angel: spike) that includes Angel, I can't use the "btvs and angel: spike/angel" claim because that's not my claim.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO PROOFREAD YOUR REQUEST BEFORE YOU HIT SUBMIT. I am sick of telling people they've commented wrong. LINKS MUST be as posted in fanfic100. I cannot tag your own PERSONAL LJ's.
Do not comment more than once. Be patient. Do not DROP your claim here.
