The sound of heavy breathing and strangled moans filled the space of the boy’s restroom on the third floor of Rikkai university’s junior high.
A faint “Fuuuuck…” was breathed out by one of the participants of the sexual encounter. It was not a word this particular person used in polite company, but while he was under the assumption that it was just him and his boyfriend in this particular restroom, he was more than happy to let that particular word slide past his lips. He panted some more until he was brought to release by his significant other.
“So, are you just gonna keep me hanging?” A throaty voice asked.
“Class is about to start in about two minutes. I think we’re done here.” The mellow baritone answered the first one, and kissed the cheek of his boyfriend.
Said boyfriend leaned against the wall, near the sinks, cursing under his breath. The worst sound he could hear at that moment was someone exiting from the stall.
A small voice coughed beside him. He looked over at the other person that had apparently heard the whole thing that had gone on. Shit... The original person thought to himself. There was a small laugh.
“I overheard your conversation.” The voyeuristic teen said, and smiled at the one that had been left high and dry.
“Like you’re going to do something about it?”
“I will if you let me.” Was the answer. Eyes met, and before Niou Masaharu could blink, one Yanagi Renji was on the floor before him, giving him a blow job. The giver was more than happy to swallow the load that Niou had blown, and stood up to clean his face up.
“You don’t want anything in return?” Niou asked, feeling like that would be a bit cruel. Renji smiled at him.
“Took care of that myself earlier.” He confessed. “You aren’t going to say anything to anyone, are you?”
“Nah.” Niou said, smirking. “That was too good.” He made himself presentable, and sauntered out heading to his own classes. Renji stared after him, hoping that he meant what he’d said. It would not be nice if anyone found out what he was doing behind the backs of some people.
The rhythmic bounces of tennis balls on the cement courts was a repetitive sound, one that usually eased the minds of the members of the tennis club, but several of the regulars just seemed distracted today. Even Yukimura seemed put off by the apathy that was seeping through everyone. Disgusted, he dismissed practice early.
Sitting down on a bench, in the midst of the other sweaty boys, he started peeling off sweaty socks and his shirt. He looked through the throng of his team in their various states of undress. He stared for a few extra seconds at his vice-captain and recently claimed boyfriend, Sanada Genichirou. He smirked to himself, hiding his face in his arm under the guise of reapplying deodorant.
Several members were starting to leave. There weren’t very many left in the locker room at this point.
“Ne, Genichirou? What are doing after this?” Yukimura asked.
“Unfortunately, I agreed to assist grandfather with a kendo demonstration.” He replied. “So I must get home as soon as possible.” Yukimura sighed. “You can attend if you want to, but you might be pressured into taking classes.” Sanada warned him.
“That’s alright.” Yukimura chuckled, and looked around. “What about you, Renji?” He asked.
“I was mostly planning on going home and doing my homework.” Yukimura made a face at that answer. Renji didn’t even have to turn around to know what his friend was thinking. “You can come over if you like.”
Yukimura brightened up a bit. At least one of his friends wasn’t all the way gone yet.
Renji was dressed in his school uniform, waiting for Yukimura to finish dressing again. He watched as the others left. He kept a neutral expression as he watched Niou and Yagyuu leave, Niou hanging off the other like noodles on a fork.
“Jealous?” Yukimura asked, coming up alongside Renji.
“Not really.” Was the reply as they left and locked up after everyone else was gone.
“You’re not, huh?” Yukimura asked as they walked through the streets.
“Not one bit.” Renji told him.
“It seems like everyone is pairing up with someone, except you.”
“I’m not all that interested.”
“And that’s what Genichirou kept telling me.” Yukimura pointed out.
“He was too insecure about his feelings.” Renji countered. “He wasn’t sure how he felt about you until not too long ago. He was also still debating whether or not he might be straight.”
Yukimura sighed. “Alright, those are all valid points. What about you? Are you still questioning your sexuality?”
“I am not.” Renji said as they approached the door to his house.
“You’re not, huh?” Yukimura looked at him. “So what’s your conclusion?”
Renji looked at him, then away. It wouldn’t matter to his friend which way he swayed. He still had a hard time swallowing the truth himself. “I’m mostly comfortable in saying that I am gay.” He finally said.
Yukimura snorted a little. “Yeah, I thought so.”
Renji made a face. “I’m not entirely certain if that reaction is a relief or if it hurts my feelings just a little.” He said. Yukimura patted him on the back.
“It’s alright, Renji. Nothing wrong with it.” He said as they made their way to Renji’s room. Yukimura sprawled out on Renji’s bed as he sat down at his desk. They sat in silence for a little while as Renji wrote out his homework, Yukimura barely glancing at his own books.
“You’re distracted.” Renji pointed out.
“Kind of….” Yukimura trailed off.
“What’s wrong?”
Yukimura made a face, and tried to think how to tell his friend his troubles. “I guess in a way…it’s Genichirou.”
Renji raised an eyebrow at that.
“I keep trying to make a move on him, and…well, he doesn’t respond to it.” Yukimura sighed.
“Maybe he’s just not ready yet.” Renji pointed out.
“It’s frustrating.” Yukimura pouted.
“That expression isn’t cute.” Renji told him, coming over and sitting next to him, putting his arm around him in a small gesture of comfort.
Yukimura leaned into the warmth, and breathed in the scent of the other young man. He took a deep breath before he turned his face up and kissed Renji hard.
Renji fought back a gasp, and despite knowing it wasn’t right, let Yukimura keep doing it. It felt good, like it quenching a thirst he didn’t know he had. Yukimura pushed him back, straddling Renji. His hands wandered over Renji’s body, searching him for something.
They broke from the deep kissing. Renji looked up at his friend. “Are you sure you want to do this, Seiichi?” He asked, giving Yukimura a chance to back off.
“I don’t care right now.” Was the answer as Yukimura unzipped Renji’s pants and took a hold of Renji’s cock. His breath hitched as Yukimura ran his hand along the length, as it got harder. Yukimura had resumed kissing him, making marks along his collar before unbuttoning his shirt so the new ones could be hidden more easily. Renji let out a strangled moan as his body climaxed from the stimulation it had been receiving. He laid there next to Yukimura as his brain recovered and processed what had happened.
“Seiichi….” He breathed out.
Yukimura looked at him. “Don’t tell Genichirou.” He pleaded. “Our little secret?”
Renji just nodded. Maybe two little secrets wouldn’t be too many to handle.
At some point, Renji remembered wondering just how Niou had gotten his phone number, but was almost amused at some of texts of invitations to the restroom during class breaks. It had been a couple of weeks since the incident with Yukimura, but somehow that had also turned into a regular thing somehow.
It was a random afternoon that he decided to ignore both the others. He was tired, and feeling a bit downtrodden by circumstances. He even skipped tennis practice, something he knew Yukimura would not forgive him for, but he couldn’t face half the team that he was currently giving sexual favors.
Not answering booty calls today? Was the message left by Niou. Renji scowled at it, and just deleted it. Yukimura asked why he wasn’t at practice, and he ignored and deleted that one as well. He went home and curled up in bed. It wasn’t that he wasn’t feeling well, but he felt like something was falling out of place.
The next day, his day was going somewhat normally.
Answering booty calls today?
Not in the mood.
You? Not in the mood? You sick or something? Come up here anyway. I’ll give ;) Renji raised an eyebrow at that. That couldn’t possibly mean what he thought. He gave an internal shrug, and wandered up to the third floor restroom anyway. It was empty and quiet when he arrived.
The door opened a few seconds later and Niou bounce in, grinning.
“What are you so happy about?” Renji asked.
“Ah, ah, no questions.” Niou said, keeping the grin in place, as he pressed into Renji space bubble. His grin turned to a frown. “You have a boyfriend finally?” He asked, seeing the marks that Yukimura had left behind just above his shirt collar.
“No.” Renji answered in all seriousness. “Just some serious making out with someone that doesn’t matter.”
Niou shook his head. “Shouldn’t let people mark you if you don’t belong to ‘em.” He said, sliding his hand down Renji’s pants.
“Maybe…uuuh….”Renji moaned out. “I don’t….want to….” He groaned as Niou twisted his wrist in a way that made him gasp in pleasure. “Belong to…anyone.” He finally managed to finish his sentence a few moments before he ejaculated.
Niou gave him a look and raised an eyebrow, licked a bit of the semen off his hand, then washed the rest of it in the sink. “Hey, I’m not going to say anything, but…you might end up with a reputation you won’t like.”
Renji leaned against the wall, taking deep breaths and recovering. “I’m sure I can handle myself.”
“Don’t cry to me if it happens.” Niou shrugged, and headed out the door.
By the end of the next week, the rumors had started.
Renji stared at his phone. He sighed as he looked at the messages. His eyebrow rose at the one.
Meet me on the roof at lunch
Is this a new thing?
Nah…wanna talk, if that’s okay? That caught Renji’s attention.
Sure.
Once the bell rang, Renji wandered up to the roof. He found Niou standing near the edge, just staring out into the distance. Renji strode over and stood next to him until he was acknowledged.
“Ever wonder if you’re doing something wrong?”
Renji snorted at the question. “I think you’re asking the wrong person about that.” He answered, and sat down.
“That was more…I don’t know…hypothetical, I guess.” Niou said, also sitting down. Renji raised an eyebrow at him.
“Something going on that I should be aware of?” He asked. Niou ran his fingers through his messy hair.
“Eh…I don’t know if you’d care or not.” Niou muttered. “Not sure why I asked you up here now…”
“I know we’re not exactly friends, but I can listen.” Renji told him. “I can also keep a secret.”
“Then how is it the whole school knows what’s going on?” Niou asked pointedly.
“Rumors.” Renji answered. “I haven’t told a soul, I can assure you. I haven’t told Seiichi or Genichirou, as it’s none of their business.” He stared at Niou.
“Are you slipping?”
Niou shook his head. “I haven’t got a reason to.” He said, sighing sadly. “Kind of wish I did, but it’s too good a deal.”
“That I can agree with.” Renji said. “So, obviously you have something on your mind. Do you want to share, or do you want to keep it to yourself.”
“Think I’m having boyfriend trouble.” Niou finally admitted.
“I assume of the one that isn’t on the side.” Renji said, a hint of amusement in his voice.
“That’d be the one.”
“And the reason you’re up here talking to me today instead of spending lunch with him?”
“Yup.” Niou said, clicking his jaw.
“Please don’t do that again.” Renji said, cringing a bit at that sound.
“Sorry.” Niou apologized. “I forget some people don’t like that noise.”
“It’s not horrible, but…” Renji shrugged. “So, what did Yagyuu do? Or should it be what did you do?”
Niou hummed for a few moments, pondering the question. “I know I’m not exactly a great example of a good boyfriend, but…sometimes I get the feeling he’s cheating on me.”
“My only thought on that is that fair is fair.” Renji told him.
“Do you think it’s fair if I suspect it’s with a girl?”
Renji snorted. “I can’t say I wouldn’t be surprised. If I were to be honest, I never really saw you two as a couple.”
“Everyone else did.”
“If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you as well?” Renji retorted with every mother’s retort for that type of mentality.
It was Niou’s turn to snort. “Maybe you have a point.” Niou looked around, seeing that there wasn’t anyone else around. “Want a quickie?” He asked.
Renji shook his head. “Not right now.” He said, standing up. He patted Niou on the shoulder. “Maybe a day or two off would be beneficial to clear your mind.” With that, he went back to his classroom and prepared for the rest of the day.
The next week Yukimura walked home with Renji, not really talking to him much. Somehow they always managed to fall into bed together, Renji always agreeing to not tell their mutual friend about Yukimura’s transgression against his own boyfriend. It just felt too good, and Renji didn’t want to give up what he was getting - and giving.
Yukimura looked at Renji’s chest. “I don’t remember leaving those.” He said, tracing some of the marks that had been left on the slender young man’s chest.
“You didn’t.” Renji told him. Yukimura looked at him sternly.
“You’re not…”
“No Seiichi.” Renji sighed. He might as well admit the truth. “Niou left them.”
Yukimura choked for a moment. “Renji! How could you?” He asked.
Renji shrugged. “I caught Niou in a moment of need, and, well…..”
“No, no, I mean….What about Yagyuu?” Yukimura asked, staring in disbelief at what he was hearing.
“Niou suspects him of cheating.” Renji cleared his throat. “And, whether I’ve wanted to or not, I’ve heard them on occasion. It’s how things started between me and Niou. Him and Yagyuu had finished, and he had been left hanging. I offered to help him out. And the few other times I’ve heard them, it sounds like he doesn’t mind get getting, but won’t give back. Sounds a bit suspect to me.”
“It’s not your job to judge.” Yukimura reminded him.
“I’m not judging.” Renji said. “It sounds like you are, and it’s definitely a case of the pot calling the kettle black.”
“Alright, alright.” Yukimura said, frowning. “I just don’t want one of my best doubles pairs to go to pieces over something so stupid.”
Renji shrugged. “Until I told you, there have only been rumors. I don’t know who started them, as I haven’t told anyone, and I can’t see why Niou would.” He paused. “He does seem a bit disillusioned with his choice of a mate though…”
“Renji, was that a pun?”
“Not an intentional one, I assure you.” Renji chuckled. “I’m sure whatever happens will happen for a reason and for the better.”
“I certainly hope so.”
“For this unit, we will be studying DNA and genetics.” The teacher announced to the class. A few of the students in the class sighed, but most of them just opened their texts and notebooks to take notes. Renji had already read the chapter, and mostly only paid attention when there was new information to add to his already fairly comprehensive notes.
That left more time for pondering the situation and drawing graphics to help analyze the material. The week was sure to be a long one.
