"Look," Blue said in exasperation, pulling back and scowling at her, his arms folded across his chest in irritation. "I know what I'm doing, okay? Just lift the shirt up, it's not like you have to take it off or anything."
"But Tetomu can--" Sae started only for Blue to interrupt before she could finish the sentence.
"Tetomu's busy with Yellow," Blue pointed out, "and you need this sorted now."
"Fine," she snapped, shoving the roll of bandage into his hands and tugging her shirt up a little. If he thought he was getting any more than that, he was wrong.
She winced as his fingers smoothed over the lower half of her back, cold with some of Tetomu's herb mixture that Yellow swore was so good. She hoped he was right because she knew she'd pulled something in that fall and moving was going to be painful for a while. She had to grudgingly admit, though, that Blue did seem to know what he was doing as he deftly wrapped the bandage around her stomach, tying it just tight enough to support without being painful. She still wasn't going to forget what happened that morning, though. That was unforgiveable.
"I didn't do it on purpose, you know," he muttered behind her, tugging her shirt down and stepping back. "I didn't know you were in there, okay? And it's not like I saw anything, either."
"That's not the point," she snapped back. "You don't just walk in on people in the bathroom, Blue. It was embarrassing."
"I didn't know you were in there!" he repeated, voice rising. "How was I supposed to know you were in there?"
"I'm always in there at that time of the morning!"
"I've been here two days, okay? Two days. How'm I supposed to know your crazy schedule already?"
"Shut up!" Yellow bellowed from the other side of the room, where Tetomu was just finished with her set of bandages. "If you're going to act like kids, do it somewhere else."
"Man, he's cranky," Blue muttered. "Don't you think he's cranky?"
"He did get hit on the head," White said diplomatically. "That would make anyone cranky."
"He was cranky before."
"I think he's just really focused," White replied thoughtfully. "Like nothing's more important than defeating the Orgs."
"He has no sense of humour," Blue decided. "But that's okay, I can fix that."
Sae didn't like the sound of that at all. And she certainly didn't like the smirk on Blue's face, the way his mouth was curling up at the sides and the mischief in his eyes was a definite no no. She found her mouth twitching in response anyway. "Want some help?"
