Short and sweet
This post is going to be an exercise in brevity as my internet is being teh slow (it took five minutes for my lj page to load) and it is pissing me off.
I've had a pretty boring day anyway. I finished reading Lemony Snicket's The End, which I have conflicting feelings about.
Regardless of my opinion of the last book, I continue to adore the series. I think it's so brilliant the way Daniel Handler plays with language and can explain complicated concepts so simply and in perfect voice. I'm madly envious of the tone he sets for the novels; it's one of those works that you wish you had thought to create.
I'm still baffled as to how kids like it, though. I'm tempted to bring one of them in my sub bag and read it during some downtime (some teachers leave virtually no instruction) to assuage my personal curiosity.
I also mowed the yard because I'm such an outdoorswoman. I did appreciate the cool autumn weather. Fall, you are my favorite season. Too bad you only last five days in Texas.
:Sigh: None of you watch the Office, so I can't ramble on about how awesome yesterday's episode was. "This is pretzel day."
