Sunday night an old friend of mine rang me up. He's one of my first few friends from back in the olden days when I just arrived in Munich and knew very few people. He's actually my very first German friend.
So, Nikias rang me up because he's in town. His film, "Hochhaus", was going to be shown on the International Film Festival of the Film Schools.
I trodded along on Monday to see the film...and to meet up with Niki. It's been such a long time since I'd seen him last. Probably about 2 years already.
The film was great! I really mean it.....funnily enough, were I to see the film without knowing that Niki made it, I would've thought of him. It's got a style to it that really belongs to him. (I played in a short film from him once....I've the VHS here, but hopefully Niki might be able to put it on a DVD sometimes so that I can have a look at it again).
Anyway, opposite the theatre is the new Jewish Centre in Munich....an architecture that Frank reckons is ugly. I don't know about it....I'm just neutral. I think they could've done better, but well, it's there. Well, I got some time before the movie started, so I went out and took a couple of photos.

Yes!!! I'm going to be assimilated.
You see, this is the Rohrspatz & Wollmeise yarn in the colourway "Koralle im Meer". I wound it into a ball last night to knit up a scarf for myself.
And here's the assimilation, for I am going to knit myself "My So-Called Scarf".
Too many people had been and are knitting that scarf in the past few months. I've seen the FOs splashed all over the knit-o-blogosphere....and I just can't resist it anymore. Like I said: "Resistance is futile: You will be assimilated!"
