Mein Gott! Ich glaube, ich schielte sogar ein wenig.

Moi: Vielen Dank!
Fürmann: Keine Ursache....
Moi: Dann Ihnen noch einen schönen Abend!
Fürmann: Danke! Ihnen auch!

Oh.My.Goodness!

Yeah, well, for those of you outside of Germany, this won't be that interesting...however, OMG!!!!

d.knit had been asking me to join her at the German Stitch 'n Bitch group for a while now...and today was the day I had decided to go for the first time.

The German SnB is in this pub/tavern/bar/restaurant...don't know what you would call it....okay, let's just settle for 'restaurant'. (FYI, the restaurant is very near to where Bubbly Theater lives.)

I sat there and knit among all these German women. d.knit came after a while. Then there came a guy who sat down alone at a table beside our group table. d.knit whispered to me and asked whether the guy isn't a German actor or something.

At first I saw the resemblance, but I just couldn't believe it. I told her that it can't be. I mean, an actor coming into such an inconspicuous and unknown restaurant?? (Okay, but as I thought of this, it kind of really made sense to me why he would be in such a place).

I kept looking back at the guy and after a while, he actually noticed that I was kinda checking him out (no, not in that way!)....and that was when I really realised that he was really a German actor...he was Benno Fürmann.

Well, I of course wanted to take a photo, but because of his proximity, I couldn't do it inconspicuously...and thus I would have to ask him. Now, to sum up my courage and ask an actor privately to take a photo of him...sans alchohol...that was quite a task.

Then Mr. Fürmann got something to eat and I wasn't going to interrupt his dinner either. So, I kinda waited and paid...and packed up. Until at last, I got ready to make my way out with d.knit. I then summed up enough courage and decided that it was now or never.

I walked up to him and the scene described above in German (yeay, I went for accuracy, so it had to stay German) took place.

I don't want to leave you guys non-German-speakers out, so I'm going to recap the important part here.

I actually asked him for his photo only....he then suggested that we take the photo together. Whilst I was fishing around in my bag for my camera, he actually asked me the following question: "And? Have you finished knitting [whatever that you're knitting]?"

I swear, I felt the heat filling up to my face hearing that question from him! *LOL* And I actually stammered something out about my making a Bavarian jacket for myself....What a dork I was!!!!

So, yeah, that was such an exciting evening! I was kinda grinning to myself the whole way home (come on, he is cute!), people on the subway started to look at me a bit weirdly, but I didn't care.
