First Crush
So I'm in the school lobby with the dozen or so other parents waiting for the day to end so we can pick up our kids. I"m standing in the corner between the door and the office window chatting with another mom when T comes striding over to me. Before I can say hi to him, he belts out for everyone to hear: "I love M! She's in my class and I'm going to marry her some day!"
Of course, everyone starts laughing because it was just too dang cute but T is oblivious to it. He keeps declaring his love for this girl, talking about how pretty her hair is and how pretty her shirts are and how she's his friend because she's so nice. And then he says, "Mom, you know how in the movies when someone is in love it goes slow motion? Well that's what happens whenever I see her. I just can't stop thinking about her and my mind goes in slow motion."
And there we have it. Seven and half years old and he's got his first crush.
