This has been a horrible week already and we're only a couple days into it. We're having house problems that are going to require *expensive* repairs. Yesterday while shopping, I slipped on some crystallized snow while getting into my car and sprained my ankle. I've been so stressed by everything that I'm sick to my stomach and can hardly eat. I haven't written in 6 days and see no chance for at least a few more. Suffice it to say, this week sucks. There's so much wrong with this week, that I realized I need to take time out to find something positive. Maybe that'll help settle my nervous stomach. I can't wait for Thursday, so you're getting it today instead.
Today I am grateful for:
- Running water and the chance to wash dishes and do laundry (yes, I really did just say that).
- That my sprain is just a minor one and I can still hobble around without too much pain.
- The people who have already come to help us, offered to help, and will be helping us over the next week or so.
- That no one is sick at the moment (aside from stress-related issues) (knock on wood)
- That my husband still has a job and a steady paycheck coming in. I shudder to think of how much worse our situation this week would be if he didn't have that.
- That it isn't currently snowing and therefore I don't have to shovel.
- That Sammi (my cat) has forgiven me for shoving medicine down her throat twice a day for 20 days and is willing to cuddle with me again as I sit at the computer.
- That even though T was a bit too hyper today, he's still been incredibly well-behaved these past few days.
- Good books that can keep me distracted.
