It took me how long to catch that?

So I'm chugging along, editing/revising Wayworn, for the most part enjoying myself since the bulk of the work is already done.  (Sometimes it's nice being an edit-as-I-go kind of writer.  Not that I have much choice since a brick wall drops in front of me any time I try to move forward without making what I have the best I can at the time).  Anyway ( Read more... )

I can't really remember, but there have been quite a few. My most memorable is that a character is alone in a great big mansion, which has been openened after around 50 years of being closed and it was in the healthiest conditions ever. *hah* :) She was there alone and it was clean and no puddles, broken windows, dust or anything and it has a majestic clean pool. It was strange.

LOL. Oops. Were you just too caught up in everything else to realize? I've done that a few times. Fortunately though, those are the ones I tend to pick up on as soon as I go back to edit. It's the ones that take me several drafts to figure out that leave me embarrassed.

Truth was that a person pointed that out to me in his crit for the short story and I actually noticed that I had let reality bend... It was a really embarrassing situation, so rest asure other people are way worse. :)

Oy! I bet that was. It makes me wonder for all the stuff I am catching, what I am still oblivious to with my own?

It was. It was. :) To be honest there comes a time, when there are no more inconsistencies and the whole reads out coherent and within the borders of reality. *grin*

I really hope I'm not to far from that after 5 years of working on this thing.

For 5 years I think you could recite the whole bulk by heart and I am still at awe you don't mix reality with the book. :)
