He can't believe this day has come already. He feels old watching the youngsters dancing with their special some ones. He shoots back another drink before walking onto the dance floor.
Noticing DJ's new husband pale, Jesse grins. Steve'll never look at him the same after the warning he and the guys gave him. No one would think it to look at him, but Danny could make a terrifying father when he wanted. Even Joey managed to make his Popeye tie threatening. Jesse knows, though, that Steve realizes he's the real threat. The music stops; the boy leaves without complaint.
"May I have this dance?" Jesse asks his niece with a bow as a new song starts.
"Of course." She smiles. Unshed tears sparkle in his dark eyes as he takes her into his arms. "Uncle Jesse, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Dej. I was just thinking how much you look like your mother. She would have loved to have been here today."
"I told Dad the same thing I'm going to tell you: She is here." DJ slips her left hand out of his and touches her heart. "Right here."
So that's why Joey's comforting Danny. Jesse stops his tears.
He whirls her around on the dance floor as the music continues and gives a little nod. "You're right," he manages to speak through the tears clogging his throat. "We're here for you, too, DJ. If anything happens -- "
"Nothing's going to happen." She beams confidently.
He wishes he could believe her but knows all too well the pain of loves that end abruptly. Even after all this time, the pain of lowering his cherished sister into the ground is too fresh. He nods, hoping she's right, and they continue to dance in silence until she steps closer and hugs him tightly.
The music stops. Jesse finds Steve standing directly behind DJ, ready to collect his bride. He releases his niece, steps around her, and takes Steve's hands into his. He knows the boy's grown to be a good man and truly loves DJ. He's watched them grow up together, but still, this is his niece's love and life on the line.
He grips Steve's hand in a bone-crushing grasp. The boy almost goes to his knees. "Make sure nothing happens," he tells him and walks away, leaving DJ to explain. Steve understands, because he knows they love her so.

She's never forgotten their song. She used to hum it before the curse was broken. She hummed it even when Regina held her captive. The Evil Queen tried to beat it out of her, to force her to forget it and him, but Belle never gave their song up. She always held it close to her heart, even when not knowing herself, because she remembered it meant love. The day she and her beloved Rumpelstiltskin danced to that special song was the same day she realized that, no matter what, she would always love him and they were destined to be together.
She hummed it in the hospital. She hummed it when they made wild and passionate love even though she didn't remember who she was or recall seeing him before he showed up looking for Belle. She asked him once, while still under the Queen's spell to make her Lacey, if he recognized the song. He told her only that it was a love song and kissed away her questions. Belle knows truer words have never been spoken. It is a love song. It tells their story, and their love is a tale as classic as any other old as time.
Belle sings their song through her tears as she watches her love sailing away. She wants to scream, cry, and demand he stay with her, but she knows he feels he owes this to his son. She should go with him, but knows, too, that he'll use magic to make her stay.
She'll stay but will keep believing in the most powerful magic, that of true love. Their love is as true as Charming's and Snow's. He'll find her as the Prince did his Princess. He'll return to her, and she'll be singing their song when he does.
