All and Sundries, 7/12

Edmund opened the shop and sat down to alternate between working on his memoirs and writing out his next lesson plan. Abusing students doesn't just happen at the drop of a hat, you know.

All and Sundries is open.

Still puzzling over the mention of pictures in the school paper, Conner headed into town after his computer workshop to pick up the cookies for the bake sale. But first, he decided to stop in at All and Sundries to see about ordering that laptop; after all, the nice thing about having your parents deposit money in your 2004 bank account was that the funds were very much cleared and available in 2006.

Abby had suggested to him that he might be able to get some kind of student discount.

Neither of them really had any idea.

"Hi," he greeted Blackadder in his Cool, Calm, and Suave voice (which wasn't, so much). "The computer teacher up at the school told me I might be able to order a laptop through you?"

Edmund looked up from his writing and gave this new boy an appraising look. "You can afford one of those, yes? Mum and Dad helping you?"

Conner nodded. "They gave me the money already, yeah. So can I do that? I was going to order it online, but Abby said I should check with you first."

"Order online?" Edmund looked aghast at the suggestion. "Certainly not! What do you require?"

Dawn held the door open for Molly and began scanning the store for the sunglasses display. "I'm just saying that if I wore a snowsuit, I'd be completely unrecognizable."

Molly entered, giggling. "I think when you passed out from heat exhaustion, they'd find out who you were when they took the snowsuit off."

"It's not a perfect plan," Dawn admitted. "Oooh, over there, I think." She pointed, then headed two aisles to her right.

Molly followed. "What style are we looking for? Big ones," she pulled a pair off the rack, "to hide as much of your face as possible? Or little ones," she selected a second pair, "to just hide your eyes?"
