The Park had been transformed. It was currently set up as a large go kart track. The karts were in the northwest corner of the park, many of them with their drivers making some last minute modifications ( Read more... )

The Tick is here, giving all of the drivers their instructions. He's off on a tangent. Way off.

"So you see, Go Karts are the Corn Dogs of Justice and ketchup? Well that's..." and so on.

Make note of whatever it is he's trying to talk about, converse among yourselves, brag about your go kart, whatever.

Sitting in his go-kart (warp reactor powered up and firmly duct taped in place, slightly marring the racing stripe down the side), Jude was trying to pay attention to Professor The Tick. He was mainly wanting a corn dog at the moment, though.

Draco sat in his go-kart and try to listen to the Tick's tangent. If only it made sense!

Of course Anakin was there.

And of course he had a go kart.

He was holding it down firmly with his boot to stop it from levitating too obviously.

But the hum was probably noticable.

Anakin grinned back. "Thanks. It's no podracer or anything, but it's pretty quick."

Jude looked at his own rather sorry contraption, then back at Anakin's. He remained unharshed, still appreciative. "Still awesome, bro," he chuckled, without having any real idea what a podracer is.

"Yours is nice, too," Anakin said, more out of politeness than truth. "Do a lot of racing?"

"Usually just on a skateboard," Jude replied, a bit modestly. Racing? He had a stack of trophies at home. He raced.

"Pretty fast, if you're good enough." Another convert? Hopefully. He chuckled. "I can get up some totally wicked speed on a level breakaway if I try."

Anakin grinned. "Excellent. I've got a swoop bike that can go about 400 klicks an hour if you want to try it out sometime." He paused. "Oh, I'm Anakin, by the way."

Jude's eyes bugged out and he almost drooled. "That? Would be awwwwwwesome." He shook his head a bit, snapping out of it. "Oh. Jude."

"I teach the flight workshop," Anakin said with a smile. "That's where the swoop's kept. Stop by whenever."

Flight workshop? Jude was so getting his ass pwned in this race. And with Setsuna watching, too. Maybe he could organise a curbjam . . .
