Alec wandered in, now that he knew where the place was, and stared at the menu for a while before he decided on a white chocolate raspberry mocha with whipped cream and sprinkles - thanks to the clerk's helpful suggestion on what was most likely to send one into sugar shock the quickest.

Paying for his drink, he picked up the cup and turned, seeing Temperance. Alec walked over, introducing himself smoothly. "Hey, I'm Alec. You're one of the newer students too, right?"

Tempe looked up, jumping slightly. The place had been mostly empty for awhile, and she was surprised to see someone there.

She recovered quickly, though, and stuck out a hand for Alec to shake. "Yep. I'm Tempe. Nice to meet you, Alec."

"Nice to meet you as well, Tempe." He shook her hand firmly, then motioned to the chair opposite her, grinning. "Mind if I have a seat?"
