Arms Hotel - Penthouse suite. (And later outside, behind the Hotel) - Sat Evening

May 14, 2006 16:14

She should have known better then to stay at a hotel run by a demon she'd almost seduced.

Adella pressed herself against the inside of the hotel room door as she locked it. Listening for any sign of movement outside.

I'm not going back, they're not going to send me back.

You don't have to go back. But you can't stay here... Bitch.

Molly was close enough behind her that she heard the deadbolt slide shut. She halted outside the door and immediately punched it as hard as she could right next to the lock.

Adella jumped back from the door.

"Damnit... Fine."

She backed up a bit and flung herself at the door.

Molly wasn't prepared for the door breaking off its hinges and coming back at her. It slammed her back into the opposite wall.

Taking only a moment to gather herself, Molly grabbed the door by the edges and flung it sideways down the hall.

Revealing one very beat up fairy backing up into the room.

"I'm not going back."

Kick her ass Molly! ... My ass! Whatever!

Molly's eyes flared a brighter pink as she charged Adella. "You are if I have anything to say about it."

When she got close enough, Molly took a swing at the fairy to try and knock her out. Now she really wished she'd gotten those fighting lessons from Angel.

Adella tried to get out of the way of Molly's swing, but Pippi tried to make her lean into it. The end result was that she didn't move at all.

The swing connected and it sent her flying.

As Adella crashed into the table by the window, Molly pulled the iron spike out of her back pocket and ran across the room after her.

Knocking a chair and the now broken table top aside, Molly kneeled next to the prone form and stabbed down with the spike.

A hand shot out and grabbed the wrist of the hand holding the spike.

Her other hand reached out for Molly's neck.

"No!" she said through gritted teeth.

YES!

Molly caught the hand coming for her throat and began to stand up, pulling Adella with her.

"You don't get a choice," Molly said as she tried to press the stake closer to Adella.

She whimpers a little as Molly nearly touches her with the spike but manages to stop it before it touches her.

Adella takes a deep breath and tries to push Molly to the left as the lurches and rolls to the right.

Instead of resisting, Molly stepped back and moved with Adella's push, but still gripping the other girl's wrist, she pulled the fairy around to try and smash her into the television.

Adella had heard, but she had not been introduced to television technology just yet.

Until Molly introduced her face to a wall mounted HD flatscreen that is.

*SMASH*

You probably couldn't appreciate Bitterwoman anyway.

Shut. Up.

Adella reached into the television and made herself a handle. Pulling the television off the wall, she chopped at Molly's chest with it while trying to pull her hand away.

Molly's only reaction to the TV smashing against her chest was to involuntarily close her eyes. Her grip tightened on Adella's wrist as she tried to pull away. Once again, Molly stabbed at the fairy with the iron spike.

The fairy cried out in surprise and managed to get a remnant of the television between herself and the spike.

She swung her caught arm around to get Molly away from her and made a grab for the other girl's weapon arm as she pushed towards the wall.

Or at least, what she thought was the wall.

By the time Molly realized they were heading for the window, it was too late to stop their momentum. Molly was going out the window no matter what. So, she decided to make sure Adella went with her.

Gripping the other girl's wrist even harder, Molly swung her around so that she would go out the window too.

*SMASH*

Adella opened the window so she and Molly could fall through it.

With her head.

Inside of which Pippi was yelling incoherently about "falling slower".

"Shut UP!" she growled as she and Molly began their decent.

The yell was obviously not directed at her, which indicated to Molly that Pippi was fighting from the inside too. Which reminded her that Pippi would be needing her body when this was all over.

Not knowing exactly how much punishment Pippi could take, Molly twisted in the air as they fell, prepared to take the brunt of the fall even as she continued to try and stab Adella with the spike.

Adella was more then fine with Molly's plan regarding how they landed, and did her best to help Molly around as they neared the ground.

She tried to get her leg up between them, and plant her foot on Molly's torso.

Realizing what Adella was doing, Molly did her best to block Adella's attempt to get a leg between them. She also twisted again so that they would both land on their sides. She would just have to hope that Pippi could take the punishment.

She also realized that, no matter what, she couldn't let Adella get away. Right now, with the possibility of her passing out once they hit the ground, that was more important than the spike.

So, finally, she stopped pushing the spike toward Adella. Relaxing her arm completely, she let the fairy force her hand back and she released the spike. Then, she twisted her hand, grabbed ahold of the other girl's arm and held tight as they struck the ground.

The spike released, Adella focused on wrapping both hands around Molly's neck.

This was about when both girls landed on the cold, unforgiving, pavement with a sickening crunch.

Having received Molly's voicemail, Cameron had hurried down to the hotel. Of course, he just had to round the corner in time to watch Pippi and Molly fall through the window.

For a second he stood rooted to the spot as he watched them hit the ground, but then he was running towards them and really hoping the invincible thing didn't go on a vacation.

Molly blacked out momentarily when they hit the ground, but she was determined not to pass out yet. She was happy to find that she still had a grip on Adella, even if the fairy's hands were uncomfortably close to her throat.

Adella shakes her head and attempts to blink the stars out of her eyes so she can see again.

The world is spinning and there's a ringing in her ears, but the other girl has a hold on her and she's can be reasonably sure of where her opponent is.

The fairy pushes forward, renewing her efforts at choking the life out of Molly.

Molly held off Adella's hands for a moment before letting go with her right hand and trying to punch the other girl in the face.

Adella didn't see the punch coming but sure felt it when it connected. Her head snapped back and her grip relaxed for a moment.

Still seeing stars she tries to recover and roll Molly onto her back so she can get better leverage in crushing her windpipe.

Fighting was a good sign, he supposed. Cameron came to a skidding halt beside them and briefly touched Molly's shoulder.

"What do you need me to do?" He asked, out of breath.

There was no way Molly was going to let Adella get leverage on her. She tried to knee the fairy in the side while she pried the hands away from her throat at least long enough to talk to Cam.

"Find the iron spike. Stab her with it," she rasped out.

Adella is downright rabid at this point.

She doubles up as Molly knees her in the side and coughs up some blood. The mention of the iron spike and stabbing however, perks her up considerably. Despite the fact that Molly still has a hold of both her arms, she lets out a primal yell and lurches after Cameron.

Cameron startled and pulled back, more than a little bit grateful that Molly seemed to have things under control.

"I'll get it," he told Molly as he started looking around for the spike. He might have muttered something along the likes of "Tinkerbell my ass."

Molly held onto Adella for all she was worth, but with the lunge at Cameron, she did end up on her back underneath the other girl. She was getting tired though. She wanted to take another swing at her, but knew she couldn't risk Adella getting away.

She renewed her grip on Adella's wrists and hoped Cam would hurry.

Adella continued to thrash and pressed down on Molly, scratching at the air inches from her face.

You know, this would have gone better for you if you weren't such an angry person.

I'm not going back!

Oh, so you're back to actual words now? You made a huge tactical mistake. And I don't mean "land war in asia".

Adella tried to headbutt Molly.

Normally, a headbutt wouldn't have done much, but this was a headbutt from someone with similar powers to Molly's and she was getting tired. She tried to turn her head, but took almost the full force of the blow anyway. She saw stars. Blinking she increased her grip on Adella's wrists as she realized she was nearing the end of consciousness.

"Cam!" She called out as loud as she could.

Cameron had just found the spike when he heard Molly call and knew there wasn't much time.

In a matter of seconds he was behind Pippi and tried to grab her shoulder to try and pull her off of Molly while at the same time he stabbed her with the spike right below her shoulderblade.

What is the the tactical mistake?

Fighting on more then one front.

And then she was stabbed with a cold iron spike.

Her eyes flared and she screamed as the skin around the spike began to bubble and smoke.

Molly was blinking furiously now; clinging to consciousness for all she was worth. As Adella screamed, Molly rolled the fairy off of her, but continued to hold onto her wrists and sat up as best she could.

She turned to Cam. "Inside. Pip. Al. Others. To take Pippi."

Molly had barely finished her sentence when he heard a noise and noticed the others showing up already. He looked at Pippi, but as he hardly knew what was going on, he hoped the others knew what to do with her.

"They're here," he assured Molly as he moved beside her and wrapped an arm around her waist, expecting her to drop off any second now. "You did good. You can let go now."

"Pippi" writhed and screamed and tried to reach back at the spike trying to get it out.

Eventually, the thrashing and the sizzling and the smoking died out.

And Pippi lay face down on the pavement and stopped moving.

Molly released Adella as soon as Cam told her the others were there. She leaned against him for support and spent her last moments of consciousness watching the other girl thrash about. It was only when Pippi was Pippi again that Molly closed her eyes and fell asleep.
