It was possible that the strange creatures that had invaded Fandom last week were still on everyone's mind when the Student Council had designed the decorations for Prom. Cardboard cutouts of drop bears, adorable teal animals, and other totally not real things awaited everyone inside. The glitter adorning each decoration made this all still romantic, right?

Dante didn't quite care about whether anything was romantic or not; he arrived at the prom looking pleased with himself, wearing a long red coat, black skinny jeans, and a black vest just short enough that it was pretty clear it was meant to be worn with a shirt Dante wasn't actually wearing.

He was hiding the booze on the inside of the coat, thank you.

"Aren't you lookin' sharp tonight?" Ada said, giving Dante an appreciative once-over. "You sure you're not gonna die of heat with that on?"

Ada, it's not a welcome picnic. Don't encourage him to get shirtless before the punch is even spiked.

Dante grinned, winking at her. "I'm already on fire," he said, "Can't get much hotter than that."

Plus he could totally cool down through the strip of skin showing under that too-short vest.

Of course there were more cryptid cutouts for backdrops. Who wouldn't want their prom picture taken with Bigfoot?

The food was a very normal spread, but the (not initially spiked) punch had a kind of adorable surprise sitting inside the bowl.

No one put glitter on the dance floor, it just sort of ended up inevitably settling along the floor. Still, that was no reason not to enjoy the music!

This was where people would find Ada for most of the night, dancing and twirling with whomever wanted to join her.
