Furnado Animal Shelter, Tuesday
So, the one danger of working in a place that was generally full of animals anyway was that when you stepped into the shop to see it basically host to a small flock of birds and assumed that Fandom was just being weird, what was actually going on was that, while carrying a cage full of finches, the vet had tripped over a puppy who was allowed to roam the floor that morning and... well...
So today at Furnado Zack was going to have his hands full, chasing dozens of tiny birds around the shelter while the vet assembled a new cage. A bigger, more sturdy one.
There were also two signs in the window: Finches! As many as you can catch, free with purchase of a cage!
And a somewhat smaller but no less important: Help Wanted!
"Chocobos are way easier to catch than you guys."
And considering the fact that chocobos were seven feet tall and could destroy a person if they felt like it, that was saying something.
