Luke's Diner, Thursday

Mar 16, 2017 00:36

Hardison had ducked into the diner expecting to see decorations up for St. Paddy's Day. If there was one thing the diner crew had down, it was over the top preparations for any upcoming holiday. But when he arrived, the diner looked much the same as it always did, save that several of the freestanding tables had been pushed together to make a single, long surface. At one end sat two businessmen. Wait, no, with a closer look, Hardison realized one of those men was the cook in a suit. At the other end were several of the younger waitstaff, dressed very...colorfully.

"No, please no," Hardison groaned.

Little did he know, that was exactly the cue they were waiting for. "Not tonight, please no," the busboy sang, rushing over to the group. "Mister can't you go, not tonight can't have a scene!"

"What?!" asked one of the waiters.

"Go, please go you--hello sir!--I said no, important customer!"

And Hardison was just going to sink into a booth and keep groaning. Through the entire song.
