"Syndulla, huh?" Yeah, Kanan had seen the sign, and he couldn't help but come ask about it, now. That was one hell of a name she'd saddled this place with, after all, and it couldn't possibly get any farther from 'Imperial' if she'd tried. "What, after Cham?"

This... this explained so much, really. And even so, Kanan looked the slightest bit dazed.

"Before I get started on too much, probably," Hera agreed. "I don't mind you asking, but I don't know I want to say a lot right now. Mostly I just thought it sounded good for a name, and it'd be a good way of spotting anyone who might be trouble."

And then his mouth fell open and he just sort of stood there stupidly for a moment.
"You aren't pulling my leg."

Maybe she should; it might be healthy. But she did still mostly respect him, even if they didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things.

For obvious reasons. Ones that he wasn't going to point out, because... really, he'd just get himself smacked, at this rate.
"Either way... it is a good name. It alliterates nicely."

He might never find them again. Or they'd be covered in motor grease.
"It's usually best just to give him space."

Kanan's shoes and socks were going to stay in his apartment or on his feet, where they belonged. It was the only safe option.
