Alana wanted to get to Dante's beach party, but she couldn't stop herself from lingering in the shop a little later than she normally did. It was, after all, her last shift after almost three years in the shop.

She felt like she had a story for every inch of the shelves. The cookbooks that sometimes smelled like food; the romances that got very uncomfortable to be around when sex pollen was in the air. The crossword puzzle books that she'd caught filling themselves in more than once.

She made one last round of the aisles, checked her locker to make sure she'd cleared out all of her stuff, and then headed for the door. she was almost there before she felt an unusual weight around the hems of her jeans and looked down to find books sticking to her, as if they were covered in velcro. When she tried to pull them off, they just clung tighter.

"This --" she said, stomping until the booskfinally fell free -- "is way too symbolic, come on."

[OOC: Late but open!]
